Museums and collections

Museums in Cambridgeshire (MiC) is the county-wide forum by which Local Authority, Independent and University museums across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough can work together.

MiC has recently undergone an organisational review, aimed at ensuring that the organisation can best represent museums and promote collaboration in changing and challenging economic times.  With the support of an independent advisor, we explored how we can best be a strong voice for our museums, and to continue to deliver high quality collaborative projects which enable audiences across the region to engage with our museums.

MiC is chaired by Liz Hide, University of Cambridge Museums Officer. The Museums Partnership Officer, Gordon Chancellor, can be contacted on Gordon.chancellor@cambridgeshire.gov.uk. MiC’s next meeting is the AGM to be held at Peterborough Museum on 14 September 2015.
