Museums and collections

Our museums work closely with the University of Cambridge's Public Engagement team, contributing to their annual programme of public events.

Science Festival: March

The Science Festival aims to provide the public with opportunities to explore and discuss issues of scientific interest and concern and to raise aspirations by encouraging young people to consider a career in science, technology, engineering or mathematics.

Open Cambridge: September

Open Cambridge unlocks the city's secrets and welcomes everyone to share in its heritage and culture. For one weekend only, a range of talks, walks, tours and exhibitions highlight aspects of Cambridge history as well as gardens, trails, art and architecture.

For Open Cambridge 2013 staff and volunteers from across our museums created My Museum Favourite, a collection of personal responses and untold stories of our museums, bringing together facts, feelings and expertise about favourite objects, artworks and specimens.

Festival of Ideas: October

The Festival of Ideas celebrates the arts, humanities and social sciences by showcasing a diverse mix of inspirational talks, performances, films, exhibitions and other creative displays.
