"I really liked looking at the paintings, and I now look at art in a different way. The Museum teacher made it very easy to understand and it was so fun!" KS2 pupil
“The students were inspired by seeing real artwork. It really helped to have a different person talking to them about certain art pieces.” – KS4 Teacher
About the Session
What do portraits tell us about people, who they are and what is their character? How do artists show differences between people and what they are feeling?
Duration: 2 hours
Session Format: The museum led session is scheduled for 2 hours and is delivered in the first 60 minutes of your booked slot. We recommend that schools use their second hour for follow-up time from the taught session. See also our Fact Sheets about Portraits.
