In line with the latest Government advice regarding COVID-19, all University of Cambridge Museums are closing to the public on Thursday 5 November until further notice, to help protect visitors, staff and the wider community.

Cambridge University Botanic Garden will remain open to provide a green space for walking and wellbeing in the city. To visit the Garden, you must purchase a ticket online:

We will continue to share stories and activities with you throughout the closure on social media (@camunivmuseums) and on this website.

While you might not be able to visit in person right now, there are lots of ways to explore the collections online or have fun at home:

Home Activities - from wildlife wanders to stories inspired by paintings, enjoy some fun learning activities with the family.

Explore the Collections - Discover a wealth of stories and knowledge inspired by the collections.

Museum Remix - help us remix and retell the stories behind our under-explored objects.

We look forward to welcoming you back soon.
