MUSEUM OF ARCHAEOLOGY AND ANTHROPOLOGY COVID-19 VISITOR GUIDELINES

6.1  Free timed tickets must be booked in advance via https://www.tickets.museums.cam.ac.uk. Please do your best to arrive on time (or preferably 5 minutes early) as we are operating timed ticketing and we want to make sure that your arrival experience is as smooth as possible. Museums and galleries now have a legal duty to have systems in place to obtain contact details for NHS Test and Trace, and to display the QR code poster for the NHS Test and Trace App. If you have provided your details and opted to share these with Test and Trace on our ticketing system, the Museum is required to keep these details for 21 days after your visit.

6.2.     When you arrive at the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, please enter through the main entrance on Downing Street, where our team will be there to welcome you.

6.3. In order to remain Covid-secure, you must wear a face covering (unless you're exempt due to medical grounds). We ask that you please maintain 2m social distancing and avoid forming groups

6.4.     Hand sanitiser is available on arrival and at various points throughout your visit.

6.5.     Clear floor markings will help you move around the displays. We are asking visitors to always keep two metres away from others.  You may be asked to wait until others have moved on before proceeding.

6.6.     If you feel unwell at any stage during your visit, please alert a member of staff immediately so we can assist you.

6.7.     Check our Visit Us pages for information on how to get to us, our opening hours and transport options, and please read all the information below so we can help you have an enjoyable visit. Our opening hours are 10am-5pm Thursday, Friday and Saturdays. Children under 12 should be accompanied by an adult.

6.8.  There are gender-neutral toilets on the main staircase.

6.9.   There is no catering on the Museum site. You are welcome to consume your own food in the grounds outside the Museum, but please do not bring food or drink into the galleries.

6.14.  In accordance with government guidelines, if you are feeling unwell, or are living with someone who is displaying symptoms of Covid-19 please delay your visit. You can find out more about the current guidelines at https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus.

6.15.  After your visit, you should exit the museum into the courtyard. The recent pandemic has profoundly impacted the economic situation of the cultural sector, the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology included. If you are able, please consider making a donation at one of our contactless donation points. Your support has never been more important. Thank you.

Naturally the situation may change at short notice, and we will be following the latest government guidelines at all times, so please check back here before your visit for the most up-to-date visitor information.
