Looking forward to taking a little time out this Christmas? Whether it’s escaping the shopping crowds, spending time with family or taking a trip around the town, our museums and Botanic Garden make perfect destinations.

However, as all our organisations are as unique as their collections, do be sure to check below for opening times during the holiday period before you head out.

 

Museum of Archaeology & Anthropology:

Closed Sunday 23 December to Tuesday 1 January inclusive, reopening on Wednesday 2 January.

Closing at 5pm on Friday 21 December 2017 for Xmas, and reopening at 10am on Monday 7 January 2018.

Closed Good Friday, Monday 24 December to Wednesday 26 December & 31 December and 1 January.

Kettle’s Yard:

Closed Monday 24 December to Wednesday 26 December 2018, open 11am - 5pm Thursday 27 December to Sunday 30 December 2018, and closed 31 December 2018 to 1 January 2019.

The Polar Museum:

Closes for the Christmas holidays at 4pm on Thursday 20 December, and reopens at 10am on Thursday 3 January.
