Make your own camera obscura and see shadows upside down! This activity is inspired by the camera obscura, a tool used for centuries by artists to help the accuracy and composition (layout) of their drawings. 

To make your own camera obscura you will need:

  • Cardboard roll
  • Scissors
  • Tracing or baking paper
  • Masking tape
  • Dark coloured duct tape
  • Aluminium foil
  • Pin or tack
  • Fancy paper to decorate
  • PVA glue
