Welcome to Summer with the Museums 2023, a jam-packed programme of family events.
From Thursday 20 July - Thursday 31 August, you'll find loads of free or low-cost events, activities, trails and pop-up happenings throughout the summer.

Pick up a free travel journal and see plants from all around the world at the Botanic Garden.
Discover a different gallery trail each week from Saturday 22 July to Saturday 26 August!
This session is designed for primary aged children and their carers but siblings of all ages are welcome to attend with them. We’re going on a journey… come with Marion Leeper on an imaginary polar exploration through an unknown world.
Each Wednesday in August, join us at the Cromwell Museum to explore what it was like to live in the 17th century through hands-on and creative activities.
What was Roman life like in the Fens?
Learn about algorithms and how to use these to code with the Hungry Caterpillar’s cousin, the Code-a-Pillar
Come for a journey over the wine-dark sea with Odysseus the pirate! An interactive storytelling with Marion Leaper.
Join us for this tour as we start in the present day and go back in time to cover around 50 years of computing history.
Fun interactive sessions aimed at those age 1-5 years old. Make community connections and meet other carers and children.
Get creative with an artist at the Museum of Zoology! For children with SEND. BSL interpreters will be at every session.
Archaeology themed family activities inspired by our new exhibition.
