About the Session 

Find out more about the development of medicine and anatomy using objects from the collections of the Whipple Museum and library. Explore changes in anatomy textbooks from a rare sixteenth-century edition of Vesalius' "De Fabrica" to modern versions of "Gray's anatomy". Try out a much-hyped Victorian medical device and find out how microscopes revolutionised our understanding of infectious diseases.

About the Session 

How can we make a difference to the sound something makes? Experiment with the museum’s duochord, tuning forks and other objects to find out how sound can be changed and measured. Find out why there are different sizes of instruments and what difference that makes to the sounds they can make.

The Jazz Festival is back at the Museum of Zoology. Enjoy boundary pushing jazz in the atmospheric Whale Café, chat to researchers from the Cambridge Conservation Initiative or simply explore the newly refurbished galleries after-hours.
