The University of Cambridge Museums is a consortium of the eight University Museums and the Botanic Garden.

Our collections span four and a half billion years of natural objects, artefacts and art. They are centres of discovery for everyone, and essential research collections for students and academics.

We have a particular focus on engaging new and existing audiences and want to:

  • Make everyone feel welcome in our venues.
  • Inspire curiosity for our collections, giving audiences access to new, or deeper ways of thinking about themselves, their communities, societal challenges and our world
  • Continue to be a vital and responsive resource to our local communities.

The University of Cambridge Museums is an Arts Council England funded National Portfolio Organisation.

We hope you enjoy reading updates from the museums and Botanic Garden about our collections, museum life, audience engagement and digital work.
