David Parr House Visitor Centre, 184 Gwydir Street, Cambridge CB1 2LW

Who

Booking essential

Join us at the David Parr House Visitor Centre for a stained-glass workshop, perfect for families and children aged 5 and above.

In this workshop, you will make your own stained glass using shrink plastic inspired by the Leach City Road Workshops and learn about David Parr, Friedrich Leach and the Victorian artworkers of Cambridge.

You will have the chance to trace a Leach design and create a stained-glass masterpiece using shrink plastic—a magical material that shrinks and transforms when heated and looks just like a real stained-glass window.

Children and adults will have access to a wide range of design templates, or they can design and craft their unique patterns. Experiment with various techniques, such as layering and blending colours, to achieve stunning effects that mimic the beauty of stained glass.

£10 per person

All materials, including aprons, will be provided.

All money raised from our workshops goes towards maintaining David Parr House – thank you for supporting us.

Please note: Booking is required. This workshop does not include a walkthrough of David Parr House.
