Each Wednesday in August, join us at the Cromwell Museum to explore what it was like to live in the 17th century through hands-on and creative activities. Become a civil war soldier, create prints with 17th century flowers and herbs, take part in spy training, and learn to ‘paint with stone’ by making your own pietra dura craft!
Wednesday 2 August: Pike Drills

Do you have what it takes to join the New Modelled Army and fight for Parliament?Join us and meet real Civil War soldiers, take part in pike training, and receive your recruitment certificate signed by Oliver Cromwell!
Training will take place every hour beginning at 10:00am. No booking required, drop in only. Ages 6+.
