Critical Co-Labs with Philip Hoare and Olivia Laing

Philip Hoare is an author known for his lyrical and deeply personal explorations of the sea, history, and the natural world. Together with Olivia Laing, he will be discussing his forthcoming book, ‘William Blake and The Sea Monsters of Love’, which delves into the profound and lasting influence of the visionary poet, painter, and printmaker William Blake. 

A selection of extraordinary William Blake artefacts will also be brought out of museum storage just for this special occasion. Highlights include original works on paper, a life-size cast of Blake’s head, and even a pair of his own spectacles – a unique glimpse into the life of a visionary. 

Afterwards, mingle with fellow guests during a book signing and enjoy a complimentary glass of wine.
