Event information
Nick Jones is one of the eight artists featured in the Polar Museum's Painting the Poles temporary exhibition.
In this free illustrated talk, Nick reflects on his lifelong journey as an artist — from early experiments with stained glass to a deepening fascination with light, landscape, and abstraction — and how it led him to the far north. In 2018, he was appointed Arctic Artist in Residence by the Friends of the Scott Polar Research Institute, joining a voyage to Greenland and Baffin Island that inspired a major new body of work.
Nick will share the experiences, images, and reflections that continue to inform his evolving work in a 40 minute talk, aimed at a non-academic audience, followed by time for questions and conversation. Space is limited, please reserve a ticket using the link above.
