Mark Hehlen is a PhD Candidate in Polar Studies at the Scott Polar Research Institute. Join us for the chance to learn more about his research in his talk, 'Why West Antarctica is Critical for Sea Level Rise and the International Thwaites Glacier Collaboration.'
In this free talk, Mark will introduce attendees to Thwaites Glacier and why it is so critical in climate science. He will also outline the work of 8 vast interdisciplinary science teams that have studied Thwaites since 2017 as part of joint US-UK led International Thwaites Glacier Collaboration and the findings they discovered.
